MFMS Group was originally founded by Hobart Moore in the 1950s to service the international clients of Moore Stephens London, the firm founded by Sir Harold Moore in 1907.
Under the oversight of Hobart and then Richard Moore, MFMS developed over the last 75 years into a strategic business across 10 locations, concentrating on international families and global corporate clients.

MFMS was jointly owned with the partners of Moore Stephens LLP until 2019 when the majority ownership returned to the Moore family. At the same time, Richard and Francis Moore established Moore Family Office Limited to represent MFMS clients in London. Initially focusing on private client tax and advisory services, the London operations expanded rapidly to cover audit and international corporate advisory services.
MFMS firms are members of Moore Global which provides representation in over 100 jurisdictions. Hobart and Richard Moore founded the Moore Global network, previously known as Moore Stephens International, in 1973. MFMS firms have always been key participants, with both Hobart and Richard previously acting as chairmen for nearly forty years.
